There is a group of ladies working to get the pool area and the newly named "Gulfview Grill and Cabana at Isle Dauphine" up and running for the summer season. We are trying to do our work on a limited budget and would welcome any plants that you might have which need a new home. Vines, bushes, palms, trees.....just contact me if you have something, and we will consider taking them off you hands.....some plants are not appropriate for the area....either too thorny, posionous, etc. We would certainly appreciate any and all help.

whistlingdixie - You might want to post a phone number or email address so that people can more easily reach you...or let people know when/where to drop off plants. This will also enable people here to pass along your request and contact info to other people not on this forum...

Our little group of volunteers is almost done with our initial project, which was to enhance the pool area and its surroundings and make it an enticing place for you to come to have an informal meal, a drink, a swim, whatever. We will continue in our efforts to keep it a family- friendly place for you to come and visit. We invite all of you to come and enjoy the facility that is yours and to invite all your guests to make use of the Gulfview Cabana at Isle Dauphine......

As another member of the "Grandma Pool" workers or as we call ourselves "Charlie's Cougars" ( you will just have to wait to find out about that} we feel the work we have done on the pool and are continuing to do to get it opened, and in tip top shape... and please let me include Mr. Jack Gaines, as he has been the "man" to be there for us everyday...we are so proud of the work we have done... It looks fantastic and EVERYONE that has stopped by has nothing but praise for our efforts. Please take the time to stop by and enjoy the effort we have made to make it exciting for everyone. A place you are proud to bring your family and friends, swim, have a drink, relax and enjoy and the day! It is a family affair. Please check us out!!
