This board will host DIPOA meeting notices and other announcements. It is always best to check the DIPOA website (dipoa.org) for official announcements but we will try to keep this board updated with the same information whenever possible.
On this board, members may also discuss other meeting related topics if you wish. Examples: parliamentary procedure, types of information provided or not provided at meetings, proposals for meeting dates/times, etc.

Charles Gaba has resigned as POA president. As a dues-paying member, I do think it would have been news worthy of a membership email......I'm just saying. I have heard the word "transparency" from certain board members......guess not so much.....this might be in the wrong place.....I don't seem to be able to start a new subject for some reason.

Any other information as to his reason and if he resigned from the Board or just the Presidency, if that is something the by-laws allow, would also be developments of interest if anyone knows. |

You're welcome. I didn't read his letter of resignation. I spoke with him to express my thanks for his service to the POA. He would like to remain on the board. I don't know what the constitution says regarding that, but I'll read it to see. This happened on Monday.

The next scheduled meeting of the DIPOA is Oct. 20, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. at the club building. We had appx. 50 people there today including the board members.....great turnout everyone, and some new faces in the audience....please try to attend the next meeting, if you can.
