The next POA board meeting will be on Saturday, March 19, at 9:00 AM, at the clubhouse. This is an unusual time--we usually start Sat meetings at 11:00--but we want to see if this time is generally more preferable to the members, and we want to allow time for a full Q&A session following the regular board meeting. So mark your calendars!

Great meeting...........long, but informative, I thought. I felt a little sorry for Mr. Grimm....I hope he did not take some people's attitudes as a reflection of the entire island. I felt that he gave good information and that he is working to help get some sort of OFFER for the island from the Armed Services. I think some people don't hear the words that are spoken because they are busy trying to make the words people say match what they want to hear! I would also like to thank you, Bruce, for being the patient person you are.

I understand the rationale of varying the meeting times, and I have been to many of them at the various times and days. I am not sure you are generating more attendance by this scheduling of meetings. In fact, you may be getting the opposite results. It seems to me that I see the same faces there every month, unless there is a specific issue that someone needs to address on a personal level. I would really like to see us go back to a set meeting time (NOT Sat. at 9 a.m.) and have it the same time every month. An older gentleman came in yesterday at 11:00 because he didn't know we began at 9. Very confusing for those of us who try to keep up and attend.

I agree with whistlingdixie. It is VERY confusing to keep changing the meetings around. People have to go to the website or whatever to find out when the meeting is for that month. I say pick a day and time that seems to work for most people and LEAVE IT THERE. Then people will always know when the meetings are, and they can adjust their schedules to accommodate that time. I vote for Thursday evenings at 6:30 or Saturday mornings at 11:00am. Either way, set one time and leave it at that.

Really the only issue I have with Sat. is that I would prefer to get my week done during the week and save my weekend time to relax....however, I would attend the meetings whenever they are set, and if we can't have a set day, then I will continue to try to make them, and keep up with when they are scheduled. Thanks, ambergreen
