As a volunteer on the Pool 'Restoration....from the beginning.. I hope the people of Dauphin Island will come down and enjoy the new restoration for our pool. We have worked extremely hard to make it welcoming to each and every one of the POA's and visitors to feel comfortable from morning till closing., A friendly place you can Bring your kids, your family and stay all day.... You will not be disappointed.... It is for everyone to enjoy. Bring your friends and new visitors to our beautiful Island Pool and stay without any worries. Isle Dauphine is back and please enjoy! The Gulfview Grill is a great place for breakfast, lunch or a beverage..Our Club is going in a great direction and please check it out. Negativity will not help our cause and the people that have have worked so hard to make this summer a great experience for the betterment of Isle Dauphine need your support instead of complaints. Thank you!

Dear Paulas,
I want to commend and tell you and the others who with you worked on this project, how much I appreciate your many tireless hours of work on the Pool restoration. I know all who will use the facilities will welcome the renovation. As I member of the Board you should be commended by the Board for your work and soon will.
Thank you.

Paula, Can you give us a price break down for visiting guests. Is there a daily fee or can you purchase a weekly pass? When will the pool open, hours etc...Thanks

Nancy, if you Facebook, there is a page called The Cabana at Isle Dauphine, and the fees are there. Right now hours are 10-5 but I am sure that will change as summer gets closer. Also, I think there will be weekly passes, and maybe summer passes. Check at the POA office for pass rates. Paula, Can you give us a price break down for visiting guests. Just saw Jeff up at the Grill - they will have swimming lessons this summer for little ones!!!
I'd also like to suggest a "Summer Camp Week" up at the POA. Maybe include golfing, swimming, fishing, etc. I think a lot of island children could enjoy and vacationers, too.

There's actually a $3 cover charge. Modest at best!
I think this will be another great night to show off what the POA has done for the island.

It is a shame you can go see CC Lewis at any venue on the Island with no cover charge. He is a great singer and has a great band and always draws a good crowd. I hate we have to pay to see him when we are trying so hard to get business at our club and pool area. For Shame!

I want to apologize for my remarks about the cover charge to see CC Lewis play. He is well worth the cover charge and probably even more. We need the money to keep these venues going and attract more bands and activities for our club and pool. Please come out tonight and support our POA activities and see a great band.

Considering the POA is on financial life support it is a prudent business decision. Sadly though, due to continued gross mismanagement this is like putting a bandaid on a severed artery......

Wellllll..........contrary to the unpopular belief...there was no severed artery nor a bleed at the event at the pool last night. In fact, it was a great success with a draw of over 140 people!!! The band was excellent as usual, and the low cover charge certainly did not keep the majority away. Food from the grill was being served up in mass quantity and the comments were all compliments. People were saying how good the food was and how beautiful the new pool area looks. From what I understand, many more pleasing and profitable events have been, and will be scheduled all summer long. To those of you who choose to throw a negative light on our facility.......come out and see for yourself before you pass judgement. Thanks everyone, and especially all the POA members who came out to support and enjoy!!!!
